ORLEANS – One of the Cape and Islands’ most prolific scorers will return to the Nauset-Monomoy girls hockey squad this winter.

Monomoy junior Gaby Bassett is expected to anchor the offensive production for the Warriors after already tallying 108 points in her career.

With elite breakaway speed and a scorer’s touch, Bassett, a Chatham resident, is able to blow past defenders to reach the goal or pick a corner to score with pinpoint accuracy.

After helping to lead the Warriors to the Division 2 state quarterfinals last winter, Bassett will once again be one of the most dynamic playmakers to watch in the Cape and Islands League this season.
