He loved his sports, golf (winner of many trophies in tournaments that he played in), the Boston Bruins, the Red Sox and the Boston Celtics, which holds dear to his heart as he refereed high school and college basketball for 33 years and was a lifetime member of the International Association of Basketball.
Albert loved to travel. He wanted to see the world and he did; to Bermuda, Norway, the Scandinavian countries, Europe, Russia, China, and South America just to name a few. However, his dreams were fulfilled when he visited the Cape Verde Islands of Fogo and Brava, the home of his grandparents and family, several times. He cried as he walked the same streets as his grandparents and saw the villages that they lived in many years ago.
He spent his later years volunteering at the Brooks Academy setting up different programs on the history of Harwich and its cranberry harvesting. He helped set up school programs on the Cape Verdean History and Culture that were offered to the local Cape Cod High Schools. FAMILY, FRIENDS, & HELPING OTHERS WAS HIS LIFE !!!
