Harwich Marks 9/11 With Somber Ceremony
HARWICH – The fire and police departments held a 9/11 remembrance gathering at the public safety facilities on Sisson Road last Thursday morning.
Fire Chief David LeBlanc said there would be no speeches. “The actions of the day speak louder than words,” LeBlanc said.
The brief session included prayers by Rev. Thomas Washburn of Holy Trinity Church and Rev. Darren Morgan, the Harwich Police Department chaplain; setting the flag at half mast; a bell ringing; and a moment of silence.
A healthy Barnstable County requires great community news.
