Lower Cape’s Best Play In High School All-Star Basketball Game
HYANNIS – Some of the Lower Cape’s best basketball players suited up against fellow top players in the region for the 40th Cape Cod High School All-Star Basketball games Sunday at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center.
Cape Cod Tech junior Anthony Bartlett, Monomoy senior Zach Martin and junior Dez Wall, and Nauset sophomores Max Eldred and Oliver Accettullo played for the Lower Cape team against Upper Cape in the boys game. Upper Cape won 145-97.
Among local players, Eldred led the way in points with 15, followed by Accettullo and Wall with 10 each, then Bartlett (7) and Martin (6).
Monomoy senior Kiley Mawn and freshman Emma Ayer, and Nauset sophomores Jazmiley Rivas Valerio and Brynn Kew played for Lower Cape against Upper Cape in the girls game. Lower Cape used a comeback in the fourth quarter to win 63-56.
Among local players, Mawn led with 9 points, followed by Ayer (5), Rivas Valerio (2) and Kew (1).
