AmeriCorps Cape Cod Spends MLK Jr. Day Serving Community

HARWICH – Barnstable County’s AmeriCorps Cape Cod partnered with the American Red Cross on Monday to host disaster preparedness workshops for their “2025 MLK National Day of Service.”

The event, held at the 204 Cultural Arts Municipal Building, included a fair with local disaster safety experts, two CPR workshops, a kids’ corner and giveaways.

“By hosting this event with the American Red Cross, we hope to equip our community with the tools and confidence they need to face the challenges of extreme weather,” said AmeriCorps Program Director Michael Andranovich. “It’s an opportunity to honor Dr. King’s legacy by fostering resilience and preparedness among our neighbors.”
