It's Art, And It's In The Park

The annual Art in the Park exhibit went up in Kate Gould Park this week, featuring 71 whales and 14 sharks, all painted, carved and otherwise decorated by local artists. Each piece was sponsored by a local business or organization, and the entire exhibit is put on by the Chatham Chamber of Commerce and Merchants Association. Scattered throughout the display are informational exhibits about whales and sharks provided by the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy and the Center for Coastal Studies.
